How to reach the Calgary Biztech editorial desk: corrections first, plus topic suggestions, local knowledge, and what we do not accept.

By Biztech Editors Reviewed ContactEditorialTrust

Quick answer: editors@calgarybiztech.com reaches the editorial desk. Corrections come first and are the one thing we always act on. Everything else is read, and a reply is not guaranteed.

What to Send

If you want toIncludeWhat happens
Correct a factThe page address, the sentence, and whatever shows it is wrongChecked against the source. If it is wrong, the page changes and the change is noted
Suggest a topicThe question you could not get answered elsewhereRead and weighed against what is already covered
Offer local knowledgeWhat you saw, and whether we can attribute itThe useful ones become research leads. Nothing is published about a named company without checking it
Brief us as a vendorDocumentation, pricing, and a demo environmentRead. It buys consideration and it does not buy coverage
Ask about republicationWhich page, where, and for what audienceUsually fine with attribution and a link. Ask first

Corrections Come First

If a page here is wrong, we want to know more than we want to look right.

The useful correction gives us three things: which page, which sentence, and what the correct position is. A link to a primary source makes it fast. Send it without one anyway if that is what you have, because a reader saying “this does not match what the CRA told us” is a signal worth chasing even when it arrives with no citation.

Material corrections change the page and get noted on the corrections page. We do not quietly revise and we do not move a review date to make an unchanged page look current.

Send one to editors@calgarybiztech.com.

What We Do Not Accept

Stated plainly, because it saves everyone the exchange:

  • Paid placement. No listing, ranking, or inclusion is for sale, at any price.
  • Sponsored articles. We do not publish vendor-written content under our own byline.
  • Link insertion. We do not add links to existing pages for payment, and we do not swap them.
  • Guest posts. We do not accept them, including the ones that open by praising a specific page.
  • Reciprocal linking. We link to what helps the reader and to nothing else.

Where a company we link has a commercial relationship with the network operator, the page discloses it in visible text and marks the link as sponsored. That is the whole arrangement, and the editorial policy sets out how it is kept.

What Is Genuinely Useful

Calgary Biztech covers energy services, construction, manufacturing, trucking and recycling operators in and around Calgary. The most valuable thing that arrives in this inbox is operator experience: a Calgary operator who changed systems and can say what it actually cost, in hours as well as dollars.

That is the material we cannot get from documentation, and it is what separates a page written from vendor marketing from a page written from what actually happens in Alberta.

What Happens to Your Email

It goes to an editorial mailbox and is used to answer you and to improve the pages. It is never added to a mailing list, sold, or passed to the software companies covered in our articles. There is no newsletter here to be added to.

The full position, including what the site itself collects, is in the privacy policy.

Response Expectations, Honestly

There is no service commitment attached to this address. Corrections are looked at before anything else. Topic suggestions and local knowledge are read and are frequently not replied to individually.

If you have written twice about a factual dispute and heard nothing, write once more and say so in the subject line. That gets it escalated instead of lost.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I report a mistake on Calgary Biztech?
Email editors@calgarybiztech.com with the page address, the sentence you are disputing, and whatever shows it is wrong. A source helps and is not required. Corrections are the one thing we always act on, because a page that is wrong and dated is worse than no page at all.
Who reads email sent to Calgary Biztech?
The editorial desk that writes and reviews the pages. There is no sales team behind this address and it is not passed to one. If a message is about buying something instead of about the coverage, the honest answer is that we are the wrong people to ask.
Can I pay to be listed or featured on Calgary Biztech?
No. We do not sell placement, run sponsored articles written by vendors, or insert links into existing pages for payment. Where a company linked from a page has a commercial relationship with the network operator, the page says so in visible text and the link is marked as sponsored.
How long does a reply take?
Longer than you would like. This is a small editorial operation and there is no service commitment attached to the address. Corrections get looked at before anything else. Topic suggestions and local knowledge are read and are frequently not replied to individually, which is a capacity limit and not a judgement on the message.
What happens to the email I send?
It sits in an editorial mailbox and is used to answer you and to improve the pages. It is never added to a mailing list, sold, or passed to the companies covered in our articles. There is no newsletter to be added to. Our privacy policy sets out the detail.
